Synchronicity

Today, the NY Daily news launched a “Where Are They Now?” slideshow about the cast of The Godfather.

Lots of interesting things there, but I am most interested in slide 16.

Life is very strange.

(This is not news to me, by the way. I know who he is, and count his performance in Faces as an all-time favorite – it’s just the timing that strikes me as strange. But then again, everything has been strange in the last two, three months.)

Thanks to Scott for the heads up.

What a beautiful, strong face. The kind of face one could look at for hours. Clearly thick hair stems from the paternal line.

  2. red says:

    You kill me.

  3. Stevie says:

Speaking of synchronicity – I passed a movie theater today and one of the movies is “Marley and Me” – which for some reason I didn’t put together until today. I mean, the movie’s been in the theaters for the last three months, m’kay? xxx

  4. De says:

    WOW!!!

I have chills for some reason!!

  5. Nicola says:

Ok I would just like to add that I love John Cazale. And I love his face, there’s just something about about that face which really gets me.

  6. red says:

Nicola -God, I know. What a wonderful actor.

    Heartbreaking.

  7. Erik says:

As I read the first two paragraphs, I was thinking to myself “what’s so interesting about this particular actor?” For some bizarre reason the last name “Marley” didn’t give it away to me. Then when I got to that last sentence — “His son, Ben Marley, is a working actor today” — I GASPED OUT LOUD. And then I laughed at myself for NOT KNOWING what was coming two paragraphs earlier at the first mention of “Marley.” Reading his bio was like getting to the Keyser Soze moment at the end of The Usual Suspects!

    Also, A’s comment is hilarious.
