Just because …

… at no point is it NOT right to take a moment to appreciate your dead boyfriend.

Hi, honey? How have you been? Lookin’ good there! As always.

(For the newcomers: that is the bust of Alexander Hamilton, on Boulevard East, in Weehawken. I took that photo.)

This comment may have been made before, but have you ever thought if history would have been changed in anyway had your dead boyfriend lived a whole life?

I just happened across your picture of this bust of Gen. Hamilton at this fateful site. I applaud your dedication and openly expressed affection of perhaps our greatest Founder.

May the memory and honorable reputation of General Alexander Hamilton remain in the minds of the citizens of this planet for the remainder of time. And may many more acknowledge the great sacrifices and contributions he has dutifully bestowed on behalf of our Nation.

I would also like to add that I fully encourage you to keep on fighting the good fight, and do as I do, as I undoubtedly suspect you already have, and that is to defend Gen. Hamilton’s reputation at all times, and help promote his fame. If a topic of revolutionary history presents itself, name-drop the great statesman, and explain to the individual why he is one of the greatest and most important.

If your experiences are anything like mine, most people already assume that Gen. Hamilton was “dangerous”, and an “aristocrat” and “monarchist”. That Jefferson was the preferable man, and more important. You and I both know that is far from the truth. I challenge you to continue, as I have no doubt that you have already, to fight on for this Great man’s reputation that has been repeatedly and unfairly tarnished by the likes of Jefferson and his calumniating disciples, as well as the likes of Adams, who had an initially unwarranted jealousy and hatred for him.

Reading about General Hamilton’s life can be very entertaining, yet very tragic/depressing because he had to suffer so much, when all he was trying to do was promote and implement good government policies. We should do our respective part to make sure posterity proves much kinder to him.He is, after all, the Father of the U.S. Government, and the foremost interpreter of the U.S. Constitution. I admire your judgment on his character, and your dedication to his memory. Keep up the good work.
