I love this movie. The two of them are so ridiculous. They just deserve each other.

Emily – ha! So ridiculous. How about her with the corn??

Big post about it coming up – just have to work my way up to it.

  3. Emily says:

The corn! Ha! “For all my frieeeennnnds!”

One of the funnest birthdays I ever had was when some friends of mine dragged me around to all the bars in that movie that Charles Bukowski used to actually hang out in. Can’t wait for the post!

Emily – that is the most awesome birthday ever. The opening montage as the credits are happening – with all of those TERRIBLE bars … it’s wonderful. You just LOOK at some of those places and know you are at the end of the road.

Oh, they were all shitholes — the kind of places where old drunks go to drink alone. We were all about 22-24 years old. We looked ridiculously out of place. But it was great, shoveling quarters in the juke box that was about thirty years out of date and paying reasonable prices for drinks for a change.

Some of those joints have the best juke boxes in town. There’s a place like that in Hoboken.
