I have to thank you for this movie, because of your posts about it I made time to watch it when it was shown on TCM and I am so glad I did. What a wonderful, fantastic film – it is one of my favorites now, just everything that it says about life and living. Your comment about the scene where he pulls over to the side of the road and sits against his car stayed with me, and all its meanings you saw; I must confess that it ended up in a poem of mine because of the impression it left. So thank you again for writing about that film, for noticing the things you do, and for sharing it with us. It means more than maybe you know.
