Abigail Adams, as we all know:

— kept the farm running for decades on end while John was away
— broke with Thomas Jefferson after a series of unfortunate events
— couldn’t spell worth a lick
— was a strict mother, especially to John Quincy
— missed her husband desperately during his years away
— believed in the idea of America, and supported her husband totally in his revolutionary activities

But I am not sure it is AS well known that Abigail Adams was also a rabid Celtics fan, who listened to the game on her ear-buds AS the shots were fired on Bunker Hill.

I love how it’s alllllllll about Boston.

    Its perfect!!

  3. red says:

I’ll have you know that when Lucy was only 6 hours old, she saw her first Red Sox game. They lost. Start em when they’re young.

  4. Kerry says:

Oh, I love it. I love it. Toughen ’em up right away.

  5. red says:

    Yup.

“Listen, sweetheart, this is part of your heritage. Get used to it.”

  6. red says:

I keep looking at that picture and HOWLING.

It’s your face!! It’s so insane!

  7. Kerry says:

    It’s a madness, really . . .

  8. red says:

Look, an actress has to do what an actress has to do.

  9. Kerry says:

I gotta keep the passion up between scenes, you know

  10. Alli says:

Make that line about Lucy pertain to the Cubs & Bears, and you have my childhood too. :-)

Congrats on the niece! Nieces are the best!

  11. tracey says:

Kerry, I think you look beautiful with that mad glee in your eyes.

  12. tracey says:

I keep looking back and forth from her face and the reflection of her face — the double madness. I love it!

  13. red says:

Tracey – totally – the reflection makes it even funnier! I love how the people around her too are just going about their business.

  14. nightfly says:

I’m guessing that Jefferson was an Orioles fan, always bragging on Cal Ripken – and then he suddenly switched to the Yanks when they started winning again. And now that they’re struggling again post-Torre, he suddenly shows up with a Nick Markakis jersey.

    I’d break with him too.

  15. red says:

It just kills me: the image of Kerry doing this backstage, then walking onstage to sing a song, then coming back to do this again.

    I love the theatre.

  16. Kerry says:

    “Commitment, Abby! Commitment!”

I am committed to my teams.

  17. sarahk says:

I love this! Kerry, I love how in the reflection, you look totally crazy, like you’re about to kill someone, and in the real face you just look thrilled and scampy.
