Review: I Am Michael (2016)

James Franco and Zachary Quinto star in I Am Michael, the strange story of Michael Glatze, who converted to Christianity and very publicly announced that he was no longer homosexual.

My review of I Am Michael is now up on Rogerebert.com.

    c.f., Cecil B. DeMille?

Another great review, my dear. Love you! xxx

      Ha!! De Mille! Exactly.

Here, there’s a lot of shots of trees waving in the sky, and Franco sobbing in the bathtub. It’s a bit clunky.

I’m sure you know of this Glatze person? I remember reading that NY Times article “My Ex-Gay Friend” that the film is based on and feeling so sad that this man couldn’t just be who he wanted to be. His conversion seemed to have been real but then he took it to the extreme that being gay was a sin and blah blah blah.

      Zachary Quinto is especially good!
