    Love this photo.

    Love that she was skateboarding, which at that time was looked on as something akin to urinating in public. If you were on a skateboard you were a menace. So odd that she would be in a glamor shot with a punk underground public nuisance activity.

    Plus she is totally stationary and I love that.

    Bren – I love your observations! You’re so right about the skateboarding thing!

    I have to say, too – yes, the woman is a glammed-up babe, but one of the things I always liked about her was she was kind of a tomboy. Like she’s in jeans, and wearing Nikes – not stilettoes – it’s kind of a sunny happy Texas beauty queen pretty, as opposed to overly managed overtly sexy starlet pretty. I don’t know – there’s something fresh about her, even with the perfectly coiffed hair, etc.

    As a little kid, I always liked her for that – because I was sort of a tomboy too.

    She also looks like a woman, not a 12 year old. There is this whole new vogue of sex-symbols and it is all about TEENAGERS and it is creepy and wrong. She was NEVER a teenager, she was always old.

    I believe that photo is from the Charlie’s Angels pilot. Farrah’s character Jill jumps on a skateboard and chases a bad guy down (when you see her zooming down the street from the back, it’s obvious she has a stunt double). I remember that pilot so well. It was unbelieveably awesome to see these gorgeous women in action. Kelly rode a motorcycle, flipping her own sizable hair around for good measure when she removed her helmet, and of course Sabrina was busy THINKING!
