I loved North Dakota

Although you would never know it from this picture.

Would it kill you to smile? Yes, it would have. It was cold, pouring rain (and had been so for days), and I had been camping in the Badlands for 3 days at this point, while in the process of breaking up with my boyfriend (who took the picture). I was also having a mild nervous breakdown, but what else is new.

But still. I loved North Dakota.

I love that photo. It says everything. Plus you look gorgeous.

I just thought you were being outdoorsy and aloof. LOL. Great photo. The Badlands can bring about a sense of disconnection, particularly if it’s grey and raining.

I wouldn’t know how to be aloof if I tried!

I remember we saw this cow trapped in a ravine on a shelf. I have no idea how it got down there. And it HOWLED all through the night.

    It was terrible.

Wow, you look gorgeous – just as Tracey says. I love this photo!
