Apparently, it’s Matthias Schoenaerts Week on my blog.
Alice Winocour directs. Disorder is a thriller but it’s more a psychological study of one PTSD-traumatized man, played by Matthias Schoenaerts. Highly recommended.

My wife and I watched this on your recommendation and were riveted. One of the coolest aspects of the film is the way the viewer’s confidence in Vincent’s perception of the world increases from beginning to end. At the beginning of the movie I thought Vincent’s perceptions were unreliable. Winocour lets us make up our own minds regarding that beautiful final scene, but I know what happened because I trust Vincent’s perception of it. He earned my confidence. More than earned it. And it’s good to see you as a “top critic” on Rotten Tomatoes.
Rob – I am so sorry it took me a while to get back to your comment.
I am so thrilled you saw this movie after I wrote about it!! I went and saw it again the week it opened and it worked just as well – almost even better because I could focus solely on the acting – which is just superb.

This gave me goosebumps.
So you feel like that final moment was real and not a fantasy?
This is what I hope!! But I like how you put it – that by that point, his perceptions are to be trusted – because he really was right all along.
I didn’t know that about Rotten Tomatoes! Thanks for the heads up!!
