I’m late to this but I just watched it a few weeks ago. It’s so uncompromising and harsh. And the colours are just gorgeous. I love how well done and subtle the special effects are – the mouth opening in a just slightly unnatural way, the voice of god actually being Morfydd Clark speaking Welsh… And the town, feels so… suffocating? Rose Glass really used everything she had so well. I can’t stop thinking about it.

Lyrie – hi! Yes, this one really stuck with me. I haven’t seen it since – but I still remember most of it very vividly, particularly her face in those moments – she was truly eerie. I loved the performance. And the whole atmosphere – that boardwalk and seaside town, and then that big big house – I was SO impressed with the director. It’s her first film!!
