I took this somewhere in Minnesota on a thundery day. During our months off the grid, my boyfriend and I traveled not by interstate – but by backroads only. We eventually hooked up with Route 66 which we followed across the country. Tangents were part of the game. I don’t remember how we came upon this gigantic pile of lumber – I know I have pictures of the two of us standing in front of the logs – just to give a sense of the sheer scale of this thing. Nobody was there. We had the clearing to ourselves. Thunder cracked and rumbled in the sky.
