Love love LOVE this movie. I’m from the St. Joseph area, and it’s so great to see my hometown featured in this movie, since the only thing the area is really known for is the site of Jesse James’ demise. I don’t think it was filmed right in St. Joseph, but the whole movie feels familiar. Not to mention it’s a great little movie.
Addie Pray is a fun book, too…but the movie is better!
I love every second of this movie. Shasta – I believe most of it was filmed in Kansas. I love when they push that ancient truck over the bridge into Missouri and Tatum O’Neal’s face falls a bit when she sees the sign: St. Joseph 5 miles. Because that means she’s about to be dropped off.
Really emotional movie, without being sentimental.
