“Dad, I’m hungry.” “Lick your brother’s face.”

Great interview with cousin Mike on Conan last night. Lots of great O’Malley stories (Uncle Tony’s response to Mike’s question “Why don’t we go camping?” is family folklore), and it cracks me up because often when I’ve posted a picture from my childhood (example here), I’ve made the comment that we look like the hard-bitten children of 70s-era Belfast in an ad for a Catholic charity. Mike shows one of his baby pictures (cousin Kerry has been on a scanning kick lately, some real treasures), and I love how Conan runs with it: “Give 50 cents to save Mike O’Malley!”

Totally enjoyable. Very proud!

I know – a great pairing. Very easy funny vibe to the whole thing.

I can’t watch it right now, I’m at work but I will definately watch it later. I always get a kick out of watching your cousin Mike; he’s a hoot.

Also the bit about not needing the makeup on the day he had to act having a heart-attack …

If I might make a suggestion—Mike needs to develop a more appealing and genuine personality. Mention it to him.

DBW – hahahahahahaha I definitely will.

I love hearing Lisa Kudrow HOWL with laughter at the image of Mike’s baby picture. Listen to her!

What a great interview! I love how Mike and Conan totally relate to each other with upbringing, etc. The baby picture was classic. I was waiting for the potbelly reference, but the dirty face was so much better.

I love Mike screaming at the picture, “How ’bout you wash me up, get me a change of clothes, before you take the picture??”
