The For the Love of Film (Noir) Blogathon (and fundraiser) – organized by Marilyn Ferdinand and The Self-Styled Siren has been raging on this week, including a rocking mention in the New York Times. I have a piece I am going to contribute, but wanted to point you in the direction of The Siren’s compilation of links so far. An incredible turnout. I have so much reading to do, so much catching up. LOOK at that glorious list of links. It’s a great project. It’s a fundraiser, with raffle prizes: You can donate to the Film Noir Foundation through this link. Last year, the very same blogathon raised more than $30,000, all of which went to the National Film Preservation Foundation, and you can read the exciting results of what that money went towards here. Of course, if you were paying attention to the news at that time, you would have read about it. It was everywhere.
Greg Ferrara, of Cinema Styles, has created an eerie amazing promotional video (with incredible music) for the Film Noir Blogathon.
Again, here is the list of links (so far) over at The Siren’s.
