— I will be performing my one-person show 74 Facts and One Lie at a fundraising benefit for a theatre company in March. I submitted the script for their consideration – they had asked me if I had anything to perform and that is definitely something I have … and they want me to do it! It’s a good thing. I can’t wait. It’s been a while since I’ve done that piece for people – and I gotta say: it’s a damn BLAST. Tee hee. Excitement!

Congrats Sheila! I wish I could see it!
You’ll have to email me the details, as I would like to attend this stellar event.
Congratulations, Sheila! Went back and read the piece, and just loved it! It’s so interesting how a series of disjointed facts can tell us so much about someone. Although I wonder if the facts you chose to remember/recount tell us more about him, or you?
When are you taking this on the road to Chicago?
Hands down, my favorite piece. Let me know the deets- I will do my damndest to be there. I am so proud of you right now- I feel a bit like a mother hen!!! AWESOME!!!
THIS IS **SO** COOL!!! The pinnacle of awesomeness! If I’m in the States in March, I might head up for that. Expecially if I get the “Break It Up Lady” and Liza at the after party. :)
Congrats!!!!
Oh, Sheila — That is SUCH great news! SO happy for you!
Beth – it’s March 11, I believe … I’ll let you know when I know more!!
Hey- is this fundraiser for the theatre Mere and I saw you at this December??
And the GOOD news is, the benefit’s in the Twin Cities! Right?
Right?
Pleeease?
Beth – yes!!
Mitch – I’m tellin’ ya – I need to take this shit on the road! Someday! That’s one of my goals, so you never know!!
I’ll be your roady.
Fantastic news! I’m totally stoked for you, Sheila. It’s such an amazing piece (I read about once a month) and I’m sure that seeing you perform it must be awesome. Any chance you could be videotaped and put on the net?
Sheil- I received a thing in the mail from that theatre about their fundraising. Such a wonderful place… PS I have already lined my sister up to keep the kids for the night, so Tom and I can come down to the fundraiser. Let me know if it IS 3/11 for sure.
PPS Member when Betsy and I were laying on your bed and made you do the show for us? I had a dream about that last night.
I’m going to try to be home for this. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this piece. . .
jenny – I’ve been so nuts out in LA that I just really processed your comment now. I agree with you – although that wasn’t my intent. I sat down to write about HIM … i wanted to honor him and celebrate him … and I do think it tells a lot about me. Who I am. I mean, after all – who we choose to love does tell a lot about who we are.
What a man he was. Is.
beth – oh my god, that was so amazing – doing it for you guys in my apartment!!! sniff, sniff …
It is definitely March 11 – but I will confirm all of the other details when i know it. I’m just one of the “acts” on the bill … it should be a really fun night!
