A marvelous letter from a copywriter looking for a job as a screenwriter in Hollywood in 1934. Fantastic. And I love that the gambit worked.
This letter made me recall an old long-ago post I wrote once upon a time where I listed my favorite words. Not my favorite concepts, but my favorite words. Then there was a fun word meme, when I still did “memes”, and out of that word meme came this brilliance (read the post, but the brilliance is in the comments).
