10:15 a.m. crisp morning

Long meandering weekend days and nights. So I have time to bounce back. Laundry. Cooking. Murphy’s Oil soap that you squirt directly onto the floor. Heaven. Gave myself a facial yesterday. Easy. Be gentle. Mani-pedi today. Gym. Steam room.

But for now: Morning. The vaulted halls of Grand Central … everything blurred out because of the general suckiness of my phone, but also because of the morning light streaming in the windows. That place is psychedelic. Classical. Built for contemplation. Transition. An emptying out of anxiety. Forward motion. Upward looking.

    Yes … beautiful …

Weird. I missed the period at the end of the word “Cooking”… I thought, “Why does Shiela heat up Murphy’s Oil soap before using it?”

Keep reading through the rest of the paragraph without the period and it’s really funny… um, if you’ve finished off a bottle of cheap read wine as I did.

No matter how many times I walk through that train station, tracey, it has that effect on me. It is truly classical (in the, uhm, classic sense) architecture. It makes you feel bigger than you are. Like … proud and kind of awe-struck at the human race.

Awesome building – I never get sick of it. I especially like it when I am NOT there at rush hour. I’ve been there at 3 in the morning – and that is completely surreal. You feel like a pipsqueak in that great hall. And then I was there early in the morning this last time … and the place just buzzes with possibility. It’s NUTS during rush hour … fun … but a whole different ball of wax.
