I know the song Marilyn Monroe is probably most known for singing is “Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”.

But the way she sings “File My Claim” in River of no Return is my personal favorite.

    And speaking of Marilyn’s songs, I always have a hard time picking my favorite… I love her versions of “Do It Again” and “A Fine Romance”. But then, I passionately LOVE the score to “Some Like It Hot”, especially “I’m Through with Love”. She sings it in a way that makes me feel her pain, but it is so sweet as well. Just lovely.

    There, I managed to pick a favorite, after all! ;)

    I love Do it Again, too – soooooo sexy!

    There’s something about how she BELTS in “file my claim” that really appeals to me. Like – no holds barred – know what I mean?

    God, she’s great here… and, the clip reminds you that pole dancing is not a recent invention :-)

    hahaha yeah, really!

    What I love about it is that it’s so simple, ultimately. She’s not over-doing the sexy – she just embodies it. It’s like the best burlesque performers.
