I love it when people use words like broad or even dame. They’re so wonderfully expressive; you can just see the type of bold, brassy lady that’s a classic broad. It’s a shame others started attaching negative connotations to these words.

I love “dame” too. My mom uses the word “dame” – never as an epithet, and I love it.
She was trying to remember the name of La Femme Nikita and she described it as, “You know, the dame with the gun.”
