    Thanks for that!
Truly a great artist – gone. Do you like Fanny & Alexander? We should do an honorary viewing with Swedish Meatballs!
Kick boxing huh?! How uh, Hemmigway.

Yes! I saw it with Mitchell in college – he had already seen it a million times. I believe it’s in his top 10 as well, but I will let him speak for himself. I love the movie – I’m definitely overdue for a viewing!!

Oh, and Roger Ebert’s obit of Bergman made me well up.

Saw it in the theater on its initial release, haven’t seen it since. I bought the five disc Criterion Collection version of Fanny & Alexander a while back. It has an incredible amount of extra stuff, including the full-length version from Swedish television in additon to the theatrical version, along with several documentary things Bergman participated in. Still haven’t watched any of it yet – I guess you could say I’m a hoarder of precious things (been that way since childhood – I would make my haul of Halloween candy last well into the following year). I don’t suppose the time will ever be more right – I’ll probably try to get started on it this weekend…
