Just so you know, Bill, I’m seeing posters/billboards EVERYWHERE.
Cell phone photos from this morning alone:
It feels like a million years ago that I hung out on the “set” with you that sweltering day and met McDreamy and Amy Adams and then we were accosted by that narcoleptic dominatrix. And now: the moment is here!
Congrats – can’t wait to see it.

Sheila,
Thanks so for the NYC pics since I don’t get a chance to see them! It’s all very exciting and more then a little surreal.
Yes, it was a lot of fun in the park, though the angry dominating bar lady was certainly a highlight unto herself!
Talk to you soon!
I can’t wait to see this thing. I’m a sucker for a good fairytale!!!!
Alex – I only saw them filming part of one of the numbers in Central Park – but Amy Adams looked absolutely dee-lish!! Shining off the screen.
What’s great about this is that I can go see it and not have to make a single excuse to my guy friends. I have a built-in one in my house. She’s 4 years old.
Alex – ha!!! Gotta love the built-in 4 year old excuse!
Also you can say that you know someone (sort of) who knows the guy who wrote it!
I can’t wait to see it – music and dancing and amy adams – who is amazing as an actress and was also sweet sweet sweet, at least to me when I met her.
I’m basically excited to see the .589483 seconds that I saw being filmed in Central Park.
The trailer for it looks great. (The scene where Amy Adams is about to break into sona & McDreamy stops her is very funny.) And I also like James Marsden (Underused in X-Men, underrated in Superman Returns), in addition to the two leads.
I must also admit to seeing and enjoying Ever After.
In other news, the new Rambo movie (Jan 25) looks awesome. (As Noonz “mans up” following fairy tale movie admissions.)
Well, you know me and my Sly obsession! I am SO THERE!!!!
I haven’t seen said trailer for enchanted yet … but the movie looks like such fun!
Go, Bill!!!

Good luck, Bill!
Alex – that is so brilliant!!!!!! I love it!
You know what just occurred to me? This is the first Disney theatrical release with traditional hand-drawn animation in a very long time.
Really? For real?
I did not know that.
Thank you all for your nice comments and support!
Alex (B) you make me laugh…but you always make me laugh.
Alex Nunez…it’s funny our best screening was with this burly room full of (mostly) burly guys (like a road company of road house, oddly repetitive as that is). I was nervous about our little fairy tale movie, but they laughed more then the kids.
Yes, Sheila…amy was/is a doll. So nice and so ridiculously effortlessly talented. We were lucky to have her!
Bill
Yeah, all the Disney releases the last few years have either been by Pixar or have been Disney productions (non-Pixar) that were still CGI. I just found a Hollywoord Reporter article from Feb that said Disney is looking to get back into the hand-drawn stuff, actually.
I suppose Enchanted is Exhibit A. Good thing. I don’t think this kind of story would work nearly as well if the animated part of the tale was of the digital variety.
Bill, that’s a great story re: the screening. It bodes well for you!
Hooray for burly road house dudes loving your movie! It does, indeed, bode well!
thank you again you guys!
Not to be a total cheese ball – but thank you!!
You deserve every accolade you get. And my post about Blast From the Past is just a SMIDGEON of what I feel about you and your gifts!
In case this post pre-dates anyone ….
As I live under a rock, I hadn’t heard anything about this movie until now. It looks so good! We used to go see movies the day after Thanksgiving, the siblings, the cousins… We probably won’t even get to go to Texas for Thanksgiving the way things are going, but I really want to see this one the day after Thanksgiving. Thanks for the heads-up!
sarah – no problem! Looks like a ton of fun, right??
Well, I loved “Blast from the Past” and I loooove me a fairy tale. Plus there’s my 7-year-old niece who could *conceivably* tag along, which would probably make my husband feel better. I love her to pieces, but I will shush her GOOD if she jabbers too much. ;-)
Congratulations to Bill! Cannot WAIT!
tracey – there’s just something soooo special about going to movies with little kids, isn’t there??
