I like that one. Saved it to see if I can hold onto a story idea.

    Thank you, Sheila…absolutely love it.

P.S. Had you already seen the ‘Fabulous Faces’ collage link I sent in email yesterday? Maybe you had posted it on your site earlier, and I missed it. But it seemed like something you would not want to miss!

    Cheers…

Michael – yeah, I already saw it. Cool.

Tommy – You know, there definitely is potential for a good story in this picture – I agree. I think actually this guy is NOT a British soldier but a member of the NY Regiment -but I didn’t ask him so I cannot confirm.

Now this is cool… who woulda thunk?!
I teach American History – only to 5th graders, but this would be an interesting discussion starter.

    Hi there,

The soldier is British, actually, 35th Regiment of Foot, and a grenadier by the shoulder wings. His name is Ray. I was another redcoat at that exhibit with the 35th and was pretty surprised to find this while surfing online. Very well done!

John – wow!! That was one of the coolest exhibits I’ve ever seen and you guys were awesome. This is one of my favorite photos I’ve ever taken – and thanks for the additional information!
