Here is the drawing my niece Lucy did for me for my birthday.
Pictured here: Me (love my orange hair!), Lucy, and Hope (whom Lucy has met – sweet girl to remember and include something – or someone – that means a lot to me). Hope appears to have morphed into a Call of the Wild version of herself. I love the blazing yellow sun. We appear to be standing on some yellow grass and I am wondering if that is my apartment building over to the right. Lucy has slept there a couple of times. She is such a great person. Lucy had folded up the paper and put it in an envelope for me. There is that heart-cracking vulnerability of children again. It was a good birthday. Surrounded by family.
I love the human bodies as + signs. I mean, nails it in the simplest possible way.
