Tracey – it’s the Time Warner building (relatively new – it went up in the last 10 years) – on the lower corner of Central Park -on the edge of Columbus Circle. I just love how reflective they are. And when you’re closer to them – they become optical illusions – it’s hard to tell they are three dimensional at all, they look like big one-dimensional mirrored sheets in the sky … I have some very weird pictures of them from the Manhattan side where you can’t tell they have any depth whatsoever – and they are totally reflective – so they look like a glitch in the atmosphere, rather than a building.
Wow! Both to your photos, Sheila, and Tracey’s eyesight! I’m guessing that speck is a helicopter because there’s a heliport just south of that location right on the banks of the Hudson.
sheila — Wow. Gorgeous. I love your photography.
And the tiny helicopter sneaking onto the scene in the second shot. Or is that a smudge on my computer screen? I think it’s a helicopter.
What are those two shimmering buildings, btw?

Tracey – I looked and looked for that helicopter. Is it that dot in the second picture, off to the right? Good catch! Awesome photos, Sheila.

Very nice Sheila. Putting that camera to good use.
