    So, so beautiful!
The one with the tiny blue flowers at the foot of the tree is my favorite, I don’t know why. But those old tombstones are fascinating, too.

My dad – the hopeless NY lover – says thank you for the pics! He enjoys every one of your NY photo posts (to which I point him without fail) ;)

Ceci – I know – those blue flowers! In the middle of the city – sometimes you see stuff like that, and it still has the power to amaze me. This delicate little struggling life coming up thru the sidewalk or whatever …

St. Paul’s has some awesome trees that were probably saplings when George Washington prayed there (I’m guessing at their age) – but just specTACUlar trees.

  3. red says:

Oh, and let’s not forget that Alexander Hamilton did military drills in the yard early on in the Revolutionary War. I just love that crap.

  4. Tim says:

The trees own the yard in front of the chapel. I love how the roots come up several inches out of the ground and stretch in every direction. They are like the caretakers of the property, watching everything. I was in awe when I sat down in a pew thinking to myself George Washington could have sat here! Very cool pictures.
