The O’Malley Boys

My dad (he’s in the front row, far left), 5 of his brothers and a couple of cousins.

I am imagining my grandmother inside the house, lying on the couch, taking a freakin’ BREAK, and smoking a cigarette, as three cakes baked in the oven. She was always baking cakes. The cakes would be devoured within 5 minutes of coming out of the oven.

This photo emerged recently, from one of my dad’s cousins. None of us (the many offspring of all of the boys in this photo) had ever seen it before. We can’t stop talking about it.

That’s fantastic. I love old family photos–linking the kids with their adult versions.

All my wonderful uncles! My Dad! I can’t believe I’ve never seen this one before. All of the children of all of these men have been obsessing over this photo on FB for two days now.

    What’s the word for a group of O’Malleys? A mug of O’Malleys? A murmuration of O’Malleys?
