The poster kind of captures the mood of Housebound, a horror film by Gerard Johnstone (his debut as a director and a writer). It’s a horror film, it’s also hilarious. I liked it a lot. Not easy to pull of what he does here.

In other news: HAPPY BLOG BIRTHDAY TOMORROW! I happen to remember because it’s my birthday, too. What a great and glorious thing is your blog. It is my balm, my ambrosia, my cool drink of water to slake this soul’s thirst. There’s a prayer of thanks floating in my medula oblongata every time I visit here, dear Sheila. I love you. XXX Stevie
Oh my gosh, Stevie, I am soooo impressed you remember! I never would have remembered! Let’s see – how old is it now? It’s freakin’ 12 years old, if my math is correct. Holy mackerel, Stevie. We’ve come a long way from tracking down Dean Stockwell together!!
Thank you for your kind words – and it is always so wonderful to hear from you, my friend.
and happy birthday!! xoxoxo
MWAH! Yes, it’s been many years since our “Stalkwell” experience :) Just a reminder that my home is always open to you (even during Balloon Fiesta Week!) so if you ever have a hankering for another high desert experience, just let me know. I keep dreaming of some sort of Sheila/Alex/Chrisanne/Mitchell/Beth/Stevie blowout weekend . . . .
I would love to come that way again! Stalkwell. Hahahaha. And God, a group weekend? With Bette Davis movies and cocktails? Twould be heaven.
How are the doggies??
Haha, I was thinking Joan Crawford’s birthday! Doggies are fine, how’s your little angel Hope?
Oooh – speaking of Joan: I’m going to be writing a review of Sudden Fear for the “noir issue” of Bright Walls/Dark Room – a really cool film magazine. I LOVE Sudden Fear and they went for my “pitch” which thrills me. It’s not really mentioned a lot when noir comes up – not like Out of the Past or the other ones (films I love as well) – but I need to start working on the piece. The deadline is screaming down the pike!
Hope is doing great. She never changes. She sleeps 21 hours a day. She’s hilarious and awesome and affectionate. :)
You are the one, the only one, to write it! Go forth and dazzle! Xxx
Twelve years old, Sheila – congratulations – this is like the Rosetta stone of blogs!
