Jean – as you requested – here is one of the MANY illustrations I added to my novel.
A couple things to note:
1. I added Blowsy’s earrings with a different color pen. I obviously had gone back to edit it, at a different time. I felt her outfit was incomplete.
2. I love her skirt.
3. Her eyelashes crack me up.
4. Please note Jeremy’s non-1920s feathered hairdo – completely reminiscent of Ralph Macchio and that other douchebag. LOOK AT HIS HAIR.
5. She looks happy, he looks glum. Her eyes are closed, he stares right at the “camera” like a deer in the headlights. Prophetic? You be the judge.

I love her shoes!
/and that other douchebag/
Indeed.
It cracks me up that you took the care to edit the earrings and yet you clearly drew this on a piece of paper that was scribbled on the other side.
Unless you created that faux finish deliberately for Jeremy and Blowzy. They do create some tension, you know, those squiggles. I have a sense of doom now.
Oh my God – HIS HAIR IS CRACKING ME UP! thank you thank you thank you!
I obviously worked HARD on Jeremy’s hair – look at how careful I was being!
Love his spats, too. Very sharp.
Tracey – I have a sense of doom now hahahahahahaha
Yes, things MAY be peaceful but there are all these subliminal squiggles working against the happy pair!
I am still not convinced he is as happy as she is. I mean, look at his FACE. Have you seen anything more unenthusiastic?
What does it all mean?? Ominous squiggles AND rainbow ice?? Noooooo!!
Obviously, Jeremy has just realized that he is missing a nose. This concerns him.
Blowsy is oblivious to it all.
That other douchebag. . .hahahahahahahahaha
Between Jeremy’s look here and the ghostly visage of Blowsy’s giant haunted eyes, I get the feeling that this could all go sideways very quickly.
Long shot… Blowsy walks down the street, away from the camera, growing smaller as she advances into shadow. A single violin plays “The Varsity Drag” in B-flat-minor.
Annnnnnd…. scene.
Varsity Drag in B flat Minor .. hahahahahahahahahahahaha
