Starsky & Hutch Unleashed

Starsky-620x804

It’s Paul Michael Glaser’s birthday today and my friend Mitchell posted this photo on Facebook, commenting: “No wonder why I loved this show.”

The photo has made my day. I want it framed on my wall.

Is giggling in unabashed joy an acceptable response to this photo? Wow–takes me right back to Tiger Beat!

One for the ages. Love those outfits and the nonchalant over-the-shoulder laugh PMG is doing and the fact that David Soul is clearly thinking ‘I’m tired now, I need a drink.’

Also, I need to knit me a Starsky-cardigan. A starksigan.

Oh my gosh, that photo. Fabulous!

I love how this picture of them on the beach is both

at the very same moment. Not to be tried by amateurs. One could even say that that mixture encapsulates the surreal 1970s.

A starksigan – genius. When I was little, my brothers bought me a S&H poster with the Gran Torino burning rubber that was on my wall for years. To say that I love beautiful men throwing off homo-erotic undertones while driving muscle cars might be an understatement.

Oh God, yes. Two manly men, playing kiss chase on the beach.

All Starsky and Hutch fashion is fabulous. My god, they were such clothes horses – this completely passed me by when I watched this as a kid. Every outfit was a WIN as demonstrated by this tumblr: http://starskyandhutchinson.tumblr.com/

Dragging it all back to SPN but the very first link I clicked on when I googled ‘Starsky and Hutch + fashion’ was on S and H and the Winchesters, which I did not read because it did not contain knitting patterns. People, accept no substitutes.

Also … sorry if this is too much … but are they both going commando?

God, the internet is an amazing place!

Love this photo! Never saw the series, but I do feel like I came close by watching the movie 100 times.
