Sadly, I was unable to capture the true poetical moment which was this:
Before the 2 bumbling skaters pictured in the photo came onto the ice – it was empty. Gleaming and white. A man came out onto the ice and began to skate around alone – he was obviously a professional – or at least very very good. He did some leaps, some twirls – all in his own contemplative world – with the people above looking on, as the rain and wind beat down on him. He wore a red fleece jacket, black pants – and he was absolutely breathtaking, in his solitary skating practice. I took a couple shots of him twirling – but he came out just a blur – it didn’t capture the moment at all.
You see the world with the eyes of an artist.
Eric – what a sweet thing to say!!

But I won’t forget him!
Eric’s right… This photo has a great atmosphere – not everyone can capture that!
