No kidding! Vintage cars and Robert Mitchum??? How does life get any better than this?

I do have a really intense crush on Mitchum-just watched the movie Blood on the Moon-and I swear, every time he looked at Barbara Bel Geddes, all I could think of is how lucky she was :)

Thunder Road is great because it’s so realistic – it has a really gritty feeling to it, a lot of car chases are real, they’re out on location, and it doesn’t feel Hollywood-y at all. Also he sings the theme song and if I’m not mistaken he also wrote it! That voice!!

Not too much lover-ing in Thunder Road – although a young teeny-bopper has a crush on him, and he’s kind enough to try to let her down easy while also telling her to “buzz off”, basically.
