Elvis Photobombs, Part 2

As I explained here, my friend Larry, when he’s bored, lifts my photos off of Facebook (or stock photos of Elvis, either one), and photo-shops Elvis into my pictures, or vice versa. I never know when I’m going to get a new one. You can see the results in that post above. They are ABSURD.

Larry has been busy.

Here are three more.

Being silly makes the world go round. Besides the Elvis connection and how funny it is, I’m impressed with how Larry finds just the right photos to seemingly “go” together.

My favorite, though, is the one in the previous post, where 11-year-old Sheila perches on the grille of Elvis’ car as he greets fans at the end of the driveway. Sheila, get off Elvis’ property.

I love the second one, where the girl you’re with is totally unimpressed by the presence of Elvis. It’s like “that guy who tagged along, whatever.” That’s really silly!

    • sheila says:

That’s my sister, Jean! An O’Malley wedding.

And neither of us are paying attention to him, so his expression looks like, in this context: “These girls at Table 9 blow. I’m outta here to another table where women will look at ME, not off into space or at the camera.”

  2. Abigail says:

There must be a gap in the market for an “Elvis Photobomb Specialist”. Could Larry set up in business? I’m sure he’d find customers. Me, for one!

  3. Melanie says:

Oh my gosh! Everybody needs a friend like Larry!

  4. Bob Herz says:

Love these. Such an interesting idea. It somehow keeps Elvis fresh and, in & because of its artificiality, real. Does that make sense? Not sure I can explain it better.

    • sheila says:

Bob – Ha, I do know what you mean. I hesitated to share them at first because they are so blatantly fangirl-y, but then I figure: Please. I’m just in line with the millions of other fangirls, and that’s as honest a response to the man as any other.

I just love the image of Larry (a busy husband and father) putting these together in his spare 20 minutes.

      • Bob Herz says:

Do you know the Joni Mabe Love Letter to Elvis? Crazy but effective. Fan girlish, I guess, but it somehow gets beyond that. (Note to self: I seem to be coming to the edge of my understanding of things these days: maybe I need to think more, because I’m getting a lot of “I can’t explain better” ineffable-ness.)

  5. Jeff Gee says:

Just in case you don’t get all the Elvis news from Madison, WI: This.

    • sheila says:

Ha! Yes – so many people sent that to me.

I love it – I had heard of it, of course!

I mean, one of his heroes was Superman. So it makes sense!

Elvis, always TCB (Taking Care of Business.)
