Snow

Today was the kind of day where you could smell that snow was coming.

And now it’s here. It is so damn beautiful. My favorite kind of snowfall. So far it’s desultory, fluttering, soft, and yet thick. There isn’t a high wind, so you don’t feel assaulted by the snow. It’s just a storm that softly fills the air.

I love New York City when it snows. The snow changes everything.

    Snow? What’s that?

  2. Mr. Lion says:

Yeah? Try driving in it sometime.

Melt! Melt you foul frozen gunk!

Jeez, what happened to spring? Someone forget to pay the bill again?

Driving? Vehicle? Huh? Mr. lion, i do not speak that language.

Just put up your hilarious TIPS FOR DRIVING IN THE SNOW post again.

I truly love this exchange. The Angeleno says “what’s snow?” and the New Yorker responds “what’s a car?” Encapsulates worlds apart.

As for me, I left Florida to come back to this, so I’m obviously insane.

But it’s been warm already. In the fifties and all. They can’t tease me with spring, and then go back to 17 degree weather and SNOW!!!!

Got on the plane in Montego Bay wearing shorts and sandals, and arrived in Providence tonight in the middle of a raging snowstorm. We were the last plane landed before they shut down the airport. Boo hooo. I want to go back to Jamaica. I want it to be summer. :(
