Here are the songs that came up on my “shuffle” feature early this morning:
“Bionic Eyes” – Liz Phair – great tune
“Come Back” – Foo Fighters – totally forgot about this song until this morning – LOVE IT
“1000 Umbrellas” – XTC (which is ironic considering one of the facts in the 74)
“Fly Away” – by Lenny Kravitz – awesome song – Normally when I take out that CD it’s just to put “Fields of Joy” on YET ANOTHER MIX TAPE … but now the other songs are coming back into the shuffle … tres exciting
“Stay” – Allison Krauss
“Get You Alone” – the Donnas
I am sure this is all VERY thrilling. But I’m excited about the Shuffle, and it kinda hasn’t passed yet. Obviously.
You know, I’ve been meaning to add a semi-frequent “blog feature” called Opening Credits (and the related Closing Credits), where I would publish the songs that came up on the shuffle foing to (Opening) and from (Closing) work.
Because really, when you listen on your headphones, the songs become your soundtrack.
But now, you’ve beaten me to it! This is what happens when I sit on ideas too long.
I see you’ve joined our little cult.
Wait til you get into some the great podcasts out there.
I love the donnas – they are on my ipod as well
god I love the IPOD – only 400 songs so far, another 14000 to buy and load
wish i was richer
Dan – yes, I believe podcasts are the next step for me.
Hey, I was in Quincy a couple weeks ago for a couple of hours – to see John and Abigail’s house- which, sadly, was closed for the winter – but it was a short little field trip. I kept my eyes peeled for you. :)
Hey now, next time you gotta call if you’re in the area.
Obviously there’s lots of Adams-related stuff in the area.
I just started on Podcasts myself. I think Glenn Reynolds and his wife put out an excellent one. He even offered a Homeland Security representative some of Frank J.’s tips for port security.
Playlists are important. I have several artist centered playlists, such as “Toby Keith favorites”. Then I have my “Songs of the Moment” playlist, usually around 50 songs of what I want to hear right now.
