Here’s one of my favorite pictures. It is me and my cousin Marianne (or one of my cousins named Marianne) leaping off the diving board together at my Uncle Jimmy’s pool.
Days felt like they went on for MONTHS when I was at Jimmy’s pool. It was heaven in that backyard. And in the backyard is his tennis court – literally the entire backyard was taken up with the pool and the court, with teeny strips of grass in between. It was Recreation Central for all the O’Malley cousins.
An entire youth is captured in that picture. But it is my youth too. We probably only went there about six or seven times with everyone–Believe it, it was no more than that–but they are the longest days that are indeed singed in my head. I can go there now, catching the tennis ball off the diving board.
Oh, such exhilaration! Love the suits, the whole “Rainbow Connection” vibe.
Please continue.

Oops – I meant to say – in the backGROUND is the tennis court.
Can you please resize the photos? I don’t know what size they are when you upload them but they are taking forever to view.
thanks!
Junia – Nope. They work for me. :)

Mike –
Magic. It was (and is still) magic. The longest longest days. :)
