That movie is a punch to the gut even in stills.

  2. Sheila says:

    Chilling, isn’t it? Total madness.

This is a movie I really enjoy but I find it very difficult to watch and I can’t quite figure out why. Same with Faces, enjoyed that also but puts me in a strange place also for reasons unknown. Cannot watch it more then once a year, then it takes a day or two recovery time.

I also agree with Jason, even the stills bring that beaten up feeling.

  4. DBW says:

    Oh, Gena.

I agree with jennchez–the film is difficult to watch…but impossible not to.

It’s just a harrowing performance from her.

But boy, I love that last scene of the play – when she finally says “Fuck it” and just goes “off script”.

  5. Kent says:

Love this movie! GENA! Plus the sexy lady of all filmic ladies: JOAN BLONDELL!!

hahahahahaha We cannot screaming JOAN BLONDELL!!! With her beautiful and interesting beauty mark on full display!!

Sexy co-star of Elvis Presley as well, let’s not forget – only a few years before!

I love her in this. She’s so … she’s nobody’s fool, she’s pissed at how much resistance she’s getting about her play … I love the psychic scene … Just love that she’s in the damn movie at all!

  8. DBW says:

I think Joan Blondell is in it, too.
