John Adams’ Book Collection

Amazing article. I need to get up to Boston to see this collection. I MUST. I love that John Adams would argue with the authors of the books in the margins. What a mind he had. What a questioning querulous argumentative mind.

1 Response to John Adams’ Book Collection

  1. Bailey says:

Last time I took the Exeter train to Boston I was wicked sad because my mum and I had wandered around Quincy for like, two hours looking for Adams’ house. Naturally, being completely directionally challenged, we couldn’t find it. So we gave up, and I was sad, and we went to Anthropologie to shop. On the way back we walked by the public library and my mum elbowed me and pointed across the street. There was an ENORMOUS banner of Adams advertising the exhibit. I practically had a conniption.

Long story short: it was AMAZING. Absolutely amazing. I want to go back wicked bad. Definitely go!
