Tune in!!
Goldwyn! He’s a ‘deis alum, and directed a great movie, “A Walk on the Moon.” Also the villain in the underrated Ah-nuld flick “The Sixth Day.”
Dang – are there any O’Malleys who don’t act or sing? ;-)
Tony Goldwyn is great. Member him in Ghost? A doofy movie, but his fear and terror at being trapped in his lies is palpable.
He also was great at Richard Nixon’s consumptive older brother in Nixon.
Didn’t know he went to Brandeis.
Wait – was Walk on the Moon with Diane Lane and Viggo Mortensen? I loved that movie!
The last time I saw Tony Goldwyn he had a sword through his chest. Always a reliable actor, and Steve is right about The Sixth Day.
His last name sure don’t hurt, either.
That would be cousin Kerry the Duke alum and scuba diver?
Er … yes?
Why do you know that? Who are you, man? Reveal your intentions immediately.
I know people who knew her at Duke. I very vaguely remember hearing she was a TV actress now…
Aha. She’s a Broadway actress mostly. She’s out in LA for pilot season, and doing quite well, obviously.
Hasn’t she been on some other TV series? I very, very vaguely remember this from a conversation with one of my friends when we were talking about another one of our long-ago classmates who was also in LA…
Her brother is Mike O’Malley – he had his own show called The Mike O’Malley show and she was on that show regularly.
Mike is now starring on Yes, Dear, the CBS sitcom
Hey Shelia,Kerry’s name popped up at me tonight. I saw the episode – I like the show. Do you know if she toured Ireland in ’94 with the O’Casey Theater Company?
Dermot –
I know she toured Ireland with Brian Friel’s “Translations”…not sure of the year though.
Hey Sheila,
I love all the free publicity! Yes, I did tour Ireland in ’94 with the O’Casey Theatre Company, not with Translations. Yes, I went to Duke, yes, I am a scuba diver. I am also an excellent baker of chocolate chip cookies, and wildy in love with my husband Adam and my cat Savannah. And Tony Goldwyn (aside from being a terrific actor and director) is a gem of a man. Any other questions?
