“If you want the girl next door, go next door.” — Joan Crawford

You tell ’em, Joan!

I finally saw Sudden Fear this past year, after Alex bitching at me for 2 years straight about what a loser I was for not having seen it. Here’s my post on it. If you haven’t seen it: seriously, do yourself a favor and rent it. It’s Crawford’s master class in the old-school style of acting.

  1. I must say, I’ve never been big on Joan, but I will head straight to Sudden Fear on you recommendation, Sheila, as well as the one my heart is making to me right now as I gaze at that picture you posted. I love that shot! Hope you’re having a great warm-up for the holidays!

Dennis!! Awesome to “hear” from you – and I was very psyched to see yet another version of your Favorite Faces today – those posts are always so cool!

Yeah – and Sudden Fear – check it out – and just watch how palpably Joan plays those high high stakes – she’s fantastic – her panic and terror is REAL – and Jack Palance is TERRIFIC. Really good movie – with a great performance by Crawford. She was an acquired taste for me – but Sudden Fear converted me. :)

I might have do another “Favorite Faces” post – since you’ve inspired me!
