I Guess I Should Feel Honored

… that Hope feels so comfortable with me.

Of all the things going on here, I find her wide open bug-eyes the most alarming.

I did rearrange my entire apartment this weekend – by myself – which involved me lugging mattresses and bed frames and box springs and entire stacks of books and an entire bookcase across rooms. If it was traumatic for me, I can’t imagine what it was like for her. She crouched in the corner, staring at the new layout with suspicion and terror, as though the very room were alive.

I love that rug. It’s like something out of Weaveworld. Which would help explain Hope’s reaction.

They don’t like change. It upsets their natural order.

I am EXTREMELY interested in the new layout…. I am trying to imagine it…

She looks completely at ease to me.

I have the same thought as Beth…What does it look like and where do we blow up the mattress?

  6. red says:

Beth, Bets – Okay, so I moved the bed across the room to the far wall – and I placed it horizontally, so it hugs the wall (can you picture it? It’s not sticking out into the room – the HEAD of my bed is facing the wall with the window). I moved the desk over (more room now under the window) – Then I took apart the big bookcase (you know – the one that you drove down to me, beth??) – and moved it over to where my bed used to be – so it is against the wall (next to the window). This has really opened up my space – I can’t explain it – and I really like having the desk totally alone under that window, without the bed pushing up against it.

There will probably be more changes to come … but that’s the major one.

Still plenty of room for blow-up mattress and also cankles!!

That sounds great! But ya know, we would blow up the mattress and sleep in the kitchen if we had to! The only place we wouldn’t put the mattress is in front of the bathroom in case Michele needed to get in to fix the toilet! Can’t wait!

I know – we need to pick a date. Early December?? TALK TO ME.

We can go do our Christmas shopping at the Union Square market again. Maybe get more tattooes.

YES!! I was driving to work today, and just wanted to continue down Rt.1 south, and keep going until I got to you. It has been far too long. Christmas shopping, cankles, a possible Mary Kate sighting… it all sounds great. You all pick a date. I will drive!!

Haha. It looks like she’s doing the “Thriller” dance on her back. Do-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo.

I’m in – will work with what works for all of you!
