It really is a shame to miss it.

    I love these.

Before we fell back, I was privy to some of the greatest sunrises. The window next to me is east-facing and at about 6:45 a.m., the sky lit up with the coolest looking pumpkin orange, similar to your last photo. The skyline was punctuated by all our trees and our giant, NAVY watertower.

I kept telling myself to remember to bring my camera, but I didn’t. Now I have to wait for the darkness to catch back up with me.

Cullen – some of these were taken yesterday morning so I set my alarm to get up and see the sunrise. It’s my favorite thing to see the sun rise out of the ocean and I so rarely get to see it!

All are great photos… #1 and #6, though are exceptional.

NAVY watertower? You don’t happen to live in Annapolis, do you Cullen?

Sheila, when I read your comment my first thought was “sun rise out of the ocean?!” Then I remembered we’re on different coasts. I like the one with the brown grass right after sunrise, but it reminds me of the feeling I get when I try to get up and out before sunrise, but miss it and then feel like I didn’t get a head start on everyone.

No, JFH, I’m in Millington, TN, Home of Navy Personnel Command.

That watertower’s a really cool-looking prop for a skyline photo.
