His Ridiculous Ego

Me: “So I’ve written two essays about you that I’m sending around now.”
Michael: “Only two? Why not three?”
Me: “We dated for six weeks almost 15 years ago.”
Michael: “So?”

****

Michael: “So how’s the book coming? You know. The one about ME.”
Me: “Great, Michael. It’s coming along just great.”
Michael: “I hope you’re calling it MICHAEL.”
Me: “No. I don’t believe I am.”
Michael: “Why not?”

****

This ongoing exchange is making me laugh. I look forward to the next installment.
