And one of the things that brings me joy are the titles of the Judge Judy clips on Youtube. I love them almost more than the clips themselves (and that’s saying a lot because I love Judge Judy).

What’s great about these is that you have all these very explanatory, tabloid-esque titles and then – Gokarting – just to see if you were paying attention.

I love those titles. I used to watch Judge Judy all the time; one of my friends in grad school actually found a newspaper article on her with a list of her famous “sayings” and cut it out for me so I could put it up on the wall over my desk.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Judge Judy is one of Ladybug’s and my little joys. We call it “Bad Life Choices Theater.” Had no idea this was all on youtube as well. These titles are killing me. “Arrogant Slut Owes for Utilities.” ROFL!
Nightfly – the whole Judge Judy channel on Youtube is a black hole of time-management! Be warned!!! I’ll suddenly realize three hours has passed!
But whoever puts them all up on Youtube, also gives them these awesome titles, and they are just so funny to me.
I like the “arrogant slut” one, too. And, in general, when you watch the clips – you find that the title is actually quite fair, even though it’s mean and reductive. It’s horrible! You’re like, “Oh, there’s the ‘arrogant slut’ of the title. Yup!”
ricki – my favorite Judge Judy-ism is “Uhm is not an answer.”
I love when she gets Bird involved. “Who should pay your fines – Bird?” (Cut to priceless reaction shot of Bird.) The man has impeccable comic sense. He’s like her Dr. Watson, her Stan Laurel.
I love him too! Their relationship is great, one of the strengths of the show.
I love when she brings kids up on the stand – you can really see her forte, as a former Family Law judge (can’t be easy). But she’s just amazing to watch.
I love Judge Judy too, but I could do without the misogyny of some of the youtube titles though:
