Whoops! And there she is!
Yay! Go, Rita!!
Congratulations! I’m looking forward to this.
Thank you! I’m looking forward to it too – haven’t seen their new restoration – looking forward to taking a look at the booklet – not just my own piece, but everyone else’s.
Happy day!
Oh Sheila, congratulations! This is one of my favourite movies, and has been since I was a child. Which is maybe weird but… It was the first time I remember watching a movie and knowing that something else was going on, something more than what was in the text. I thought that was so exciting. Plus, well, Rita.
I look forward to reading your take on it.
Heather – ha!! That is so great that you loved it as a child – it’s such a strange grown-up movie, with all of those people circling one another, turned on, and hateful/lustful. And yes, I can totally see that a kid would pick up on the fact that so much else is happening!
Rita is amazing. My essay mainly focuses on her and what that role did for her (good and bad) – but it was a really fun research project, on the whole.
Thanks again!
