I see Tim McCarver’s stupid “what this guy really wants now is a hit” mug on the screen, so I’m guessing the answer is yes. I can’t wait! :-)
Wouldn’t you just love if Leiter wrapped his microphone cord around McCarver’s neck and put him out of our misery?
I’ve just re-visited your site, and am fascinated by your writing, no by you! I read mostly junk but also some not-so junk. Recently read a biography of Isaiah Berlin by Michael Ignatieff and now I’m buying and reading everything by Berlin that I can get my hands on. What a brilliant and interesting man! I’ve been wanting to tell someone about this and your it. David Good Luck and may all your roads be downhill and the sun be always at your back.
Awww juyeah.
Believe it! :-D
Schilling is the MAN. That was hilarious that move near the end by A-Rod. They’re worried!
A-Rod is pathetic: that slapping the ball out of Arroyo’s hand bullshit was just too lame for words to even begin to describe.
That was pathetic. The umps did a great job in calling the game. A-Rod’s lameness and that homerun call were right-on.
This play by play analysis ON MY BLOG is absolutely brilliant. I LOVE IT.
Afraud’s selfishness cost his team; if he just takes the out Jeter goes to second.
I have it on reliable authority that one game day Schilling has gravel porridge for breakfast and a light barbed wire salad for lunch.
Let’s play another.
I can’t even think about the bloody sock without getting chills.
I need to figure out where the hell to go to watch the next game … I need to be with my own kind.
What, can’t you get to the Riviera? Or has some Yankee fan NYC bureaucrat preemptively declared the Sox expats’ bar a fire hazard due to overcrowding? ;-)
I can’t wait for the game tonight. I’m literally chomping at the bit. I’m literally sitting on the edge of my seat. I’ve literally chewed my fingers to the bone. I’ll be at the Mist. It’s wing night, open mic night, and the Sox are playing. What a trifecta!
I felt so bad for him when he had to run towards first base to get the runner out. You could see him wince.
That single homer didn’t even phase him. His foot hurt him worse than the Yanks could last night.
I’m sorry, but this series has been one of the best baseball series’ I’ve ever seen. I hope it goes for the Sox, but I’m trying not to jinx it. I’m a fairweather fan, so I don’t think I have enough karma to really jinx it too badly.
Dave J:
The Riviera is going to be TOO crowded tonight. Even though I live near Manhattan and all that, I’m a bit phobic about crowds.
There’s a good pub in Hoboken that is Red Sox friendly … I run into the same folks over and over. So that might be where I end up going.
I’m trying to convince David and his wife to get a babysitter and join me.
Pat W:
Oh, to watch tonight’s game at the Mist.
My heart LITERALLY breaks at the thought that I won’t be there.
