Yet more proof that I am The Worst Lesbian Ever…
Rowr!!
God, he’s hot. I’m fanning myself.
My membership card is SOOOOOOO going to be revoked. I’ve already been forced to give back my secret decoder ring and WNBA season tickets.
Curly, I believe that’s the funniest thing I’ve read today.
“Why’d it have to be … snakes …”
When my parents saw the movie, he was the Embassy Air Attache to the Netherlands. As many know, in the Netherlands and other European theaters at this time, the movie is shown in more of a dinner theater/comedy club setting rather than a traditional theater, and, as such is a bit more intimate. When the famous line above was uttered my mom just started cracking up and couldn’t stop laughing. Everyone around stared at her; sure the line was kind of humorous, but it didn’t deserve the guffaws of my mother.
It turns out that my mom’s Dutch wasn’t quite as good as my father’s. She read the Dutch subtitles as: “Garden Hoses! Why did it have to be… garden hoses…”
As a avid gardener, she remembered that slang is the Dutch word for “hose”, but with her massive phobia(My mom’s aversion for HER “s’s” is as great as YOURS, Sheila) she blocked out of her mind that that Dutch word also means snakes.
Hee hee. Glad you liked, Cullen.
Mmmmm, yes, asps, very deadly. You go first. ;-)
I’ve got a lousy picture of an Indy poster I bought in the lobby of a Japanese movie theater.
Related to the subject, albeit distantly, some of you might find this amusing.
