I find my self thinking about that ad a lot this evening. In hindsight, it is such a perfect representation of all that Jobs managed to accomplish in his all too short time with us. His insistence on an elegance of style, along with a focus on intuitive ease of use was truly as revolutionary as the ad implied.
We’ve come a long way since that Super Bowl ad of January 22, 1984, and through all the changes Steve Jobs kept to his core belief. You have to admire the hell out of that.
Anyone that can brilliantly tie in one of my favorite books of all time (1984) into a relavent TV commercial has my respect. Steve Jobs was an incredibly intelligent man, not just with computers moreso at every level of business. Now we will see if he surrounded himself with phenomenal people, as most extremely successful people do, or if he was the only master-mind at Apple.
I was lucky enough to meet the guy a few times. Genius does not begin to describe the insight of Jobs. It was like building a time machine and talking to Edison or Tesla.

And I believe that was the only time it was broadcast.
