Welcome Home, Baby

This past week was one of the best weeks of my life. A true high watermark. And the capper was returning home from my weekend in the woods to find a package in my hallway from my good friend Charles Taylor. Hmmm, a surprise. I was not expecting a package from him. It was big and oddly shaped. It was marked FRAGILE. What could it be?? I opened it up, and ….

I think my week just got even better.

How much awesomeness can one person be expected to bear?

It doesn’t get much better than Elvis in black leather in ANY way, shape or form.

And in this plastic version, he is wearing a lovely raspberry-colored lipstick. I laughed out loud when I opened this thing up!!

Not much more I should think! I just got back from a four month stint on active duty (nowhere dangerous), so what a treat to find your website great as ever. I just reread your long post on Mickey Rourke, which is how I got here in the first place. Dana Stevens was right. And now I read her because she was so right about you. Life is beautiful sometimes, isn’t it? Cheers to your awesome week.

Rob – Hi! That Mickey Rourke piece has brought me so much luck – it’s crazy. It just keeps having a life of its own. and yes, Dana Stevens’ words about it in her column were so so nice!

Thank you for your very nice words, and yes, life is beautiful sometimes!

    Welcome home! And happy 4th!
