Oh, gotta see this. Other reviewers haven’t liked Trip’s story, I’m glad it worked for you. They know their fans.
If you’re not Metallica’d out, and you haven’t seen it, their appearance on The Colbert Report this week was pretty funny (“What’s it like to be angry in your 50’s?”) and then they just rocked Master of Puppets.

Mutecypher – yeah, let me know what you think of it! Like I said, I don’t think the Trip thing worked initially – because who wants to see a kid driving a van around town while Metallica is playing over THERE and I want to see the band, I don’t care about the kid! But eventually it gained its own momentum – it felt very personal. And I LOVED the ending – which is kind of perfect (not to mention the song that they played over the credits rolling – a favorite, which never gets any play due to its length – but it’s definitely in my top Metallica songs).
Very ambitious film! And very scary, too – those people hanging from lampposts by the neck in 3-D. It was upsetting.

I’ll probably have to wait for it to show up in iTunes, I doubt it will come to our one theater. Now, if they were Hawaiian Music legends….
Today’s fun film treat is Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2. My daughter is dragging me to that. Oy, I wish I’d slept through more of the first one. The things we do for love.
But I have Blancanieves in the rental queue for tonight. Looking forward to that.
