I remember this, but I can’t remember the movie. For some reason Pride of the Yankees is sticking in my head, but that seems too obvious.
Not Pride of Yankees, youre right.
Yup, you know it! Keep guessing!!
Oh! It’s movie guessing time. I have seen this movie, but I have no idea—however, too excited to see movie trivia again NOT to guess. It’s baseball, and it’s black and white. Fear Strikes Out? No, I think A League of Their Own has a black and white section–that’s my guess. Not too confident.
Excellent guess with Fear Strikes out – but no!
I think Bull Durham has an opening that is B&W–is that it?
That’s not it.
No, it’s not. :)
I don’t think this is a baseball movie, the more I think about it. It’s from an old classic, and I am completely blank. It’s something like Citizen Kane, but that’ not it. I’m not giving up, but I’m sleeping on it.
This guess is more in the ballpark, so to speak.
Laura. Dana Andrews is so dreamy.
Bingo! He is, he is so sexy in this. That famous scene when he’s alone in her place … so hot.
Dang. Laura. I forgot about this when I woke up this morning–good one, Jane.
Very impressive!
I should do more of these.
You should. I miss the old “Guess Which Movie” extravaganzas.
I know – those were crazy!
Well, it was crazy how much work you put into it, but the rest of us sure enjoyed it.
Thanks, DBW.
And yes, Sheila, more of these would be fun!
It crashed my site that one time, with everyone showing up at the same moment. Fun!
Is that what Gary Cooper was playing with in Meet John Doe?
Gary Cooper in Meet John Doe?
No, ma’am – but excellent guess! Someone already guessed it – Dana Andrews played with it as he investigated the murder of Laura Hunt in Laura.
I was starting to think it was a film noir, but I don’t think I ever would have guessed Laura! This was fun. I love guessing about screenshots.
